Yes, FLYTTE movers take washing machines up and down stairs and into apartments. Add the stairs at either address when you book, and the price already covers them. Two movers are recommended for stairs: one guides from above and one takes the weight below, with the machine strapped to a trolley.
Stairs
Washing machines are heavy for their size and have nothing to grip, which makes stairs the hardest part of the job. Tell us how many flights there are at each end so two movers turn up. Stairs add to the price, and you see that before you book.
Many townhouses have the laundry upstairs or in a cupboard off a hallway. Measure the narrowest door on the way, including the laundry cupboard, against the machine's width and depth.
Apartments and lifts
Measure the lift door and the inside of the lift, and book it with building management if they ask for that. Mention parking or a long walk from the vehicle to the lobby in the notes.
Fit the transit bolts if you still have them, turn off the taps, disconnect the inlet and drain hoses, and let the water drain into a bucket. Keep the hoses with the machine. Water left in the hoses is the usual cause of drips on carpet and in lifts.
The crew moves the washing machine, they do not disconnect or connect water or power. Have it unplugged and the hoses off before they arrive, and reconnect them yourself or book a plumber afterwards.
Prices
Across single-item jobs booked through FLYTTE from January to October 2026, the median price was about $116, and the middle half came to between about $90 and $151. Single items start from $65. Your exact price is shown before you book, worked out from your actual addresses.
