Quick answer
FLYTTE moves freestanding pizza ovens, kamado grills and smokers across Auckland with two movers and straps, never tipped. Built-in ovens can't be moved. Prices start from $65, plus $15 over 80kg or $40 over 150kg.
Outdoor pizza ovens and kamado grills are heavy, fragile and shaped badly for carrying. A ceramic kamado can crack if it is knocked, and a pizza oven on a stand can weigh well over 100kg. FLYTTE teams move them across Auckland with two people, straps and a trolley, and set them down where you want them outside.
How we move them
Lids are secured, loose parts like grates, stones and shelves are taken out and packed separately, and the oven or grill is strapped to a trolley and moved upright. In the truck it is strapped and padded so it cannot shift.
Built-in brick or concrete ovens cannot be moved. This is for freestanding ovens, ovens on stands, kamados and smokers.
Before the team arrives
Make sure it is completely cold, empty the ash, take out the pizza stone and grates, and turn off and disconnect any gas bottle. Gas bottles travel separately and upright.
Add anything the team should know in the notes, like stairs, a tight doorway, a garage or a side path. The team sees it before they arrive.
