Quick answer
FLYTTE moves massage chairs across Auckland with two movers, padded and strapped upright on a trolley, including upstairs. Prices start from $65 plus a $35 massage chair handling charge, and the exact price shows online before you book.
A massage chair can cost thousands of dollars and weigh 80kg to over 100kg, most of it high up in the backrest. It does not bend, it is easy to scuff, and it does not fit in most cars. FLYTTE teams move massage chairs across Auckland with two people, padding and straps, and set them down in the room you want.
How we move a massage chair
The chair is wrapped and padded, tilted back onto a trolley and strapped, then wheeled out with one mover guiding the top. In the truck it is strapped upright so it cannot tip or slide.
Check the doorways and any tight turns at the drop-off. Many chairs are wider than a standard armchair, so measure the widest point.
Before the team arrives
Unplug it and tuck the cable away, lay the backrest and footrest flat if they adjust, and take off any removable cushions or remotes.
Some chairs have a separate footrest or side panels that come off. Check your manual, and if it needs taking apart, do it before the day.
Add anything the team should know in the notes, like stairs, a tight doorway, a garage or a side path. The team sees it before they arrive.
