FLYTTE This one was a queen bed mattress, a side table, a queen bed base and a chest of drawers, going from Moturoa to New Plymouth Central in October 2026. The customer booked it online and saw the full price before paying.
The move
The run was roughly 2km door to door. Two movers handled it.
Tips if you are moving the same things
Chests of drawers are easiest to carry with the drawers taped shut, or with the drawers taken out and carried separately if they are heavy.
Strip the bed and take the frame apart before moving day if you can. Keep the bolts in a bag taped to the headboard so nothing goes missing.
If the table legs come off, removing them makes it far easier to fit through doors and into the van.
